The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis is a popular Christian allegory about a bus voyage from hell to paradise. Lewis’ innovative thesis in The Great Divorce is that the gates of Hell are sealed from the inside, which is an incredible reflection on good and evil, grace and judgement. Lewis’s The Great Divorce will revolutionise the way we think about good and evil because of his exceptional descriptive abilities.
Clive Staples, sometimes known as C.S. Lewis, was a British literary researcher and author who lived from 1898 until 1963. He was a member of Magdalen College, Oxford University’s distinguished college. His deep religious upbringing inspired “The Problem of Pain” and “The Screwtape Letters.” His most well-known work is the adult science fiction trilogy “Out of a Silent Planet,” “Perelandra,” and “That Hideous Strength.”His connection and contact with fellow authors J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Williams led him to create this trilogy, which is greatly influenced by Christian philosophy. His best-known tales, however, are from the Chronicles of Narnia, a series of children’s novels that starts with “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.” The series is filled with Christian symbolism and ethics, and it is considered some of the most significant children’s literature of the twentieth century.
